Beta Numbers, etc.

So I'm back from my 10-day vacation in LA (and Vegas) yesterday. It's funny, I got my beta hCG done prior to my flight to LA, and right after my flight from LA. At 10 dpo, it was only a mere 5mIU/ml but at 19 dpo, it jumped up to 960 mIU/ml. Whew! That's like a doubling time of 28.48 hours (the numbers were supposed to double within 48 hours) so that was quite a relief! I just can't wait for my 1st prenatal appointment on July 13 (which seems eons too long) and to have the first ultrasound done. Can't wait to hear the heartbeat!

Now, I'm singing praises to God again but under a different circumstance (we just had practice in church for this Sunday's worship services). It's such a coincidence that I'm singing with Jodee again (the one I was in backup with the last time I just had a m/c). The first time I sang with her, I had sad news. But now, it's a turnaround, and she's just amazed at God's faithfulness as well.

Lord, I'm claiming this "gift" to full term. We just can't wait for February to come. (PS: Taba ko 'no?!)

UPDATE:
Okay, don't laugh, but I broke down and used up the only remaining unopened HPT lying around our bathroom Friday afternoon. Here's the result.

The test line is finally a couple (or three) times darker than the control line. My HCG is doubling as it should be. I'm glad!
