10-week Ultrasound

Here I go again, with another picture of my baby's development. It's so good to be doing clinicals at Kaiser Permanente (Daly City) OB/GYN department, I get free scans!!!

This scan, though, is a milestone in my pregnancy since this is the first time that the baby is big enough for me to see him/her moving (see video). It makes this pregnancy more real to me, as the fetus is no longer like a peanut, but more like a miniature human being with tiny arms and legs. I also heard the heartbeat for the first time (see video)! (Before, it was too early to start using the doppler, so I only saw it and never heard it) and it was beating at such a strong, steady rate. I forgot to ask them to measure the heart rate this time.

This gets very exciting by the week. How fast the baby grows! So sit back, relax, and wait for next week's scan. I can't wait to start that baby book! (Obviously, I haven't started yet, and I've already got a lot of pix per ultrasound, LOL. Halatang excited?!?)

==========================

Baby's movement at 10 weeks:

So, as I mentioned before, I forgot I brought the camera with me and just bore with my low-tech cellphone to capture this heartwarming moment. I should have let my classmate, Armi (the voice you hear towards the end of the clip), capture this milestone with it, but my memory cells just aren't working recently. Anyways, it is so cute how his/her tiny frame is moving and what appeared to be his/her arms and legs wriggling. This video never fails to make me smile. It feels soooo good!!! Next time, I'll make sure to remember I have my camera with me for better quality...

Baby's heartbeat at 10 weeks:

The first time I heard the heartbeat on the doppler! They scanned me at Kaiser Daly City where I was doing my clinical rotation, and I forgot I brought my camera with me. I just used my cellphone so the quality is not as good. Still, it deserves to be captured, so here it is..
